Memoir as Medicine

a virtual writing workshop

come to claim your story.
No prior writing experience needed.

You are the product of a thousand generations.

People who carved memory into palm leaves.

Lineages who sang songs to the rhythm of freedom.

Strangers who found solutions through creating community.

Their stories prepared a path.

We are the authors of the next chapter.

Tuesday November 11, 4-6 pm PT

During this workshop, you will be guided through:

  • Neuroscience of how the brain holds memories.
  • 3 writing prompts to build a bridge between your memories and your magic.
  • Exploration in a gentle, supported space - no prior writing experience needed.

Who is this for

  • For writers, healers, and remembers seeking to turn memory into meaning.

Meet your facilitators:

TJ

Hey y’all! I’m TJ ( they/them) from San Francisco. I’m Black, trans and queer, and I bring curiosity, energy, and a love for creating spaces where people feel seen and heard.

I’ve been facilitating for 15 years, working with folks to explore ideas, share stories, and grow together. I’m passionate about connecting with people and helping everyone find their voice. I can’t wait to meet you all and dive into this work with you!

Meenadchi

My name is Meenadchi, and I'm a somatic healing practitioner who geeks out on how language shapes our freedom.

My work is here to help you reconnect with the intuitive wisdom of your body so that we can co-create intergenerational healing in the ways we speak to ourselves, each other, and the universe. I am the author of Decolonizing Non-Violent Communication (2019) and a faculty member with the Trauma of Money.

Memory is a spell. Write yours.
