DNVC and Family Constellation Therapy

For folks who want to communicate better and heal ancestral trauma.

We all have relationships we wish were better.

And we all know the things we're "supposed" to do.

• Communicate honestly and directly.

• Approach conversations with curiosity.

• Set and maintain boundaries.

• Stop taking things personally.

So why do we find ourselves in constant loops of people-pleasing, defensive arguing, and broken boundaries?

communication is actually muscle memory.

  • It takes practice to understand our needs.
  • It takes practice to be less defensive.
  • It takes practice to communicate authentically.
  • It takes practice to believe our body's intuition.

FAQs

WHAT IS DNVC AND FAMILY CONSTELLATION THERAPY?

DNVC stands for Decolonizing Non-Violent Communication. This is a communication framework I have developed that prioritises authenticity, capacity, playfulness, and dignity.

Family Constellation Therapy is a modality that clears intergenerational trauma from the nervous system, so that you can be more embodied and healthy in all your relationships.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO JOIN THE PRACTICE GROUP?

Nope! You are welcome to join exactly as you are.

WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND LIVE?

All sessions are recorded. You will have access to all past recordings as long as you are a member of the practice group.

HOW LONG HAVE THE PRACTICE GROUPS BEEN RUNNING?

The BIPOC practice group has been running since January 2022.

The All Folk practice group has been running since July 2023.

Both groups will continue to run for the foreseeable future.

WHY IS IT CALLED A PRACTICE GROUP?

It is through practice that skills become embodied, that healing becomes consistent. We are here to PRACTICE with consistency and in community.

IS THERE A RIGHT TIME TO JOIN?

You can join at any time, you can leave at any time.

Folks are encouraged to make a minimum of a 4-month commitment in order to co-create a strong container.

HOW MANY PRACTICE GROUPS ARE THERE?

There are 2 practice groups: One for folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color. The second group is for all folks.

  • You enjoy learning and growing in community.

The practice group may NOT BE FOR YOU IF...

ABOUT ME

I love Non-Violent Communication (NVC), and I love somatic/ancestral healing!

I am lucky to have been introduced to NVC through someone from my own home country (Jeyanthy Siva) and to have journeyed back with her, to facilitate Non-Violent Communication with a decolonial and culturally responsive lens.

I have worked in the trauma and crisis stabilization sector for upwards of 15 years, with a focus on mental health, serving a population impacted by serious mental illness, substance abuse, and gender-based violence.

I believe we are here to do good things. We are meant to do them together.
